Miami Community Newspapers reports that The Village of Casa Familia has officially celebrated its grand opening in Kendall, marking a major milestone in specialized disability housing in South Florida. While the first phase is now complete, Pinnacle will lead the community’s expansion by developing The Gardens at Casa Familia, which will add 50 more affordable apartments for adults with disabilities to the campus.
This inclusive housing community in Miami-Dade provides residents with a safe, independent lifestyle featuring smart-home technology for independent living and rent capped at 30 percent of tenant income. The state-of-the-art campus offers unique amenities designed for the IDD population, including a sensory “chill” room, an art studio, and a movie theater.
By partnering with the nonprofit Casa Familia, Pinnacle continues to grow its presence in Miami-Dade affordable housing through high-impact public-private collaborations. This master-planned inclusive community serves as a national model for compassionate care, ensuring that adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have a place to thrive and belong.
